November Wrap Up

November 30, 2019June 14, 20221 Comment

This was a pretty slow reading month.  Partly due to the fact that most books I tried reading I couldn't get into, but also because I was a participant in NaNoWriMo this year for the first time.  While I won that, I didn't exactly win at reading.  I guess I was just more caught up … Continue reading November Wrap Up

November 27, 2019November 16, 20211 Comment

Reading slumps happen, and they're terrible.  I recently had one at the end of September/beginning of October and it's really suckish to see all those unread books and just not feel like reading any of them.  I literally went from wanting to read all the books to wanting to read none.  And unfortunately, it's a … Continue reading 10 Ways to Overcome a Reading Slump

It's that time of the year.  Though I haven't started my Christmas shopping yet, I know a lot of other people have or are at least gathering ideas for what to get people.  Being a bookworm, I obviously love getting anything book-related because well, books are pretty much my life.  Being a librarian is a … Continue reading Unique Gifts for the Bookworm in Your Life

Read or Watch First?

November 8, 2019June 14, 20222 Comments

Many books end up being turned into movies simply because of all the hype they generate in their book form, and let's face it, a lot of us love to see our favorite characters come to life.  And when our favorite books aren't popular enough to get turned into movies, we cast the "would-be" movie … Continue reading Read or Watch First?

10 Holiday Book Recommendations

November 6, 2019June 14, 20221 Comment

It's November already and that means that it's almost time to start getting into the holiday mood.  While of course here in the U.S. we have Thanksgiving coming up, but meanwhile the rest of the world is preparing for Christmas (and other holidays).  While I do love Thanksgiving myself, there aren't really any books I … Continue reading 10 Holiday Book Recommendations

Five fantastic stars AGAIN for this novel. I loved it years ago when it came out and feel the same after rereading.
QOTD: do you find yourself to be more of a morning, afternoon, or night reader?
Welp, this is a DNF. There’s just no depth to the story at all. I normally don’t read Patterson on principle, but I figured, “hey the person who ACTUALLY wrote it deserves a chance.” Unfortunately, this just didn’t hold my attention.
Seriously wishing I could just get paid to read books 😪
It’s the weekend. Read books. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Name a book that you knew was going to make you sad, but you read it anyway 🥲
