Reindeer Readathon 2021

I hadn’t planned on making a TBR for December because I didn’t feel like having the pressure of sticking to it, until I remembered that it’s that time of year again… The Reindeer Readathon is back! And once again, I’m on Team Mistletoe! So, with that realization, I’m actually excited to have a TBR for the month.

The prompts this year were actually ones that I had an easy time finding books for, including alternatives in case my mood changes. However, I’m just going to share my first picks for the prompts because those are the ones I’m planning to stick to.

Information about the Reindeer Readathon can be found on their new site, including links to the hosts’ blogs, YouTube channels, and social media accounts.

Dasher – short story or novella: 10pts

The Spies That Bind – Ally Carter

Dancer – book by a favorite author: 15pts

Forgiving Paris – Karen Kingsbury

Prancer – a book with a travel element: 20pts

Before the Coffee Gets Cold – Toshikazu Kawaguchi

Vixen – a book that recently caught your eye: 20pts

Comet – 5 star prediction: 15pts

Along with these prompts, are also bonus prompts for extra points. These are to be used along side the prompts above, not as additional books.

Christmas Star – A book over 500 pages: 25 pts

Quests for Glory – Soman Chainani

Christmas Lights – An ebook: 15 pts

The Tourist Attraction – Sarah Morgenthaler

Christmas Carols – An audiobook: 15 pts

The Spies that Bind – Ally Carter

bonus

Sleighing it – A redo of a prompt if all other prompts are complete: 50 points

Obviously I’m not choosing a book for this one because I don’t even know if I’ll actually read all nine books that I picked out. I’m hoping to, but you never know what will happen.

Last year I didn’t do as well on the readathon as I wanted to – I think I hit a reading slump – so I’m hoping this year I’ll do a lot better and really get some points for my team. I’m pretty excited about this TBR, so I think I’ll be able to read most of these books. Now I just need to figure out which book I want to start reading first!

Are you participating in the Reindeer Readathon?
