“Sleep is good, he said, and books are better.”
― George R.R. Martin

I completely agree with this one. I often lose sleep because of books, as I’m sure most of us have. Some of my bookish memories are ones where a book kept me up late at night because I couldn’t stop reading. One book in recent years was Time Bomb by Joelle Charbonneau. I think I started it late in the day, went to work, then read more of it until about 1am and I finally had to stop because I had to work early the next day.
And a favorite “losing sleep because of books” memory of mine is when the sixth Harry Potter book came out. As we all know, it’s the book where a certain professor dies (I’m really against spoilers, even if it’s been 16 years since it was released) and it was late at night when I had gotten to this part, and it broke me. I remember crying and going down to my mom saying who was killed, and honestly, whether I’m re-reading the book or re-watching the movie, I still cry – not as hard, but I still cry.
Anyway, the point is, when it comes to bookworms, we’ll always choose to lose some sleep when we’re in the middle of a really good book.

I love a book that I can’t put down, that I walk around the house reading and yes stay up all night reading. I was the child who would read with a torch under the bedsheets after bedtime. And, sadly, it’s been far too long since I did that but I’m getting back into reading after a long slump so I’m hoping I’ll feel that again soon!
