Sometimes the prettiest or most interesting book covers are ones that are the simplest. They don’t need fancy illustrations or photos to suck a reader in; they just do it with the typography on the cover. Maybe the color of the book helps with interest, but when a book cover is pretty with just the title and author’s name on it… that’s some skill right there.
While I do love illustrated covers because of their cute factor, I do enjoy the simple typography covers just as much. Here are some fun, pretty, and overall favorites of mine (some might have illustrations, but focus on the typography).
