January 2023 Wrap Up

What a rough first month of the year. If you remember, my mom and I both tested positive for Covid on the first of the year, so that was fun. It took a while, as we did end up with secondary issues of bronchitis (my mom) and bronchial spasms (me). Basically, the same thing as we were prescribed the same medicines to treat it. And I found out I’m possibly diabetic (though it might have something to do with my thyroidectomy back in August) so I need to start taking care of my sugar levels until I figure out if it is diabetes or not.

What a month.

My reading took off at least, I think a fresh set of new books from Christmas got me back into the reading mood because as you can see, a few of the books I got in December have already been read. I am trying to give some love to my backlist books though, and I’d like to try to get some recent 2023 releases in soon. Honestly, I’m just glad to be back to reading on a regular schedule.

Wednesday | Netflix (rewatch)

Wednesday_Netflix_series_posterYes, I binged this show in December when I was on medical leave from my radiation treatment, but I kept rewatching the episodes over and over while I was sick with Covid last month. It was a mix of watching it and falling asleep to it. I feel like I can recite the entire series right now. It wasn’t the only thing I watched, but I just liked going back and watching it unfold again when I knew the end.

And I’m so excited they officially announced season 2! Finally!

That’s all for my January Wrap Up! It was a hell of a start with being sick, and I’m still recovering from it (as is my mom) but hopefully the rest of the year can be a little easier going. Or we’ll at least be better prepared to handle what comes our way.

What did your January look like?
