Birthday Book Haul

As I mentioned in my post about my birthday vacation, I got quite the book haul for my birthday. Over the span of a week I ended up getting/buying nine books, plus one of my pre-orders came in a couple of days after I got back home. So overall, my May haul is up to ten books! As long as I read that many this month I won’t feel so bad, haha.

One of my books was a ‘Blind Date With a Book’ so I didn’t even know what it was until after I got settled back into a routine at home. I posted the unwrapping to my Instagram stories, and it can be found under ‘2023 Hauls’ for viewing. I’d never heard of the book before, but the description given about the book sounds very good.

The Haul

Gifted Books

  • Salt & Sugar – Rebecca Carvalho
  • Sold on Love – Kathleen Fuller
  • No One is Alone – Rachel Vincent
  • The Unhoneymooners – Christina Lauren

Books I Bought on Vacation

  • Mastering the Art of French Murder – Colleen Cambridge
  • Glee: the Beginning – Sophie Lowell
  • Forgiving Paris – Karen Kingsbury
  • The Upside of Falling – Alex Light
  • The Lighthouse on Moonglow Bay – Lori Wilde (the mystery book)

Pre-Ordered Book that Arrived

  • The Fall of the School for Good and Evil – Soman Chainani

By the time I get this post up, I’ll have finishing No One is Alone, and might have possibly started another from this haul. I can’t say that I’m planning to buy any more books in May, but you also never know. I really don’t need to though. However, if I do, I know it’ll be pre-ordering Tirzah Price’s upcoming book. But other than that… I might be good on purchasing books for a while.

How many books have you gotten in May so far? Do you plan to get more?
