Discussion: Length of a Book Series

October 4, 2021June 16, 202213 Comments

A co-worker and I were recently talking to a patron about book series and how some of them can get to be too long, and honestly, I think it's a problem with how long some series go on. Trust me, I love a good series where I can keep on reading about the lives of … Continue reading Discussion: Length of a Book Series

Length of a Book Series

March 10, 2020June 15, 20221 Comment

Let's talk about the book series for a moment and how long is too long for a series? We all pretty much know and love the Harry Potter series, which consists of seven books (we do not count The Cursed Child, ever). Given the length of the later novels, it seems like a pretty large … Continue reading Length of a Book Series

Read or Watch First?

November 8, 2019June 14, 20222 Comments

Many books end up being turned into movies simply because of all the hype they generate in their book form, and let's face it, a lot of us love to see our favorite characters come to life.  And when our favorite books aren't popular enough to get turned into movies, we cast the "would-be" movie … Continue reading Read or Watch First?

Five on Friday: Favorite Side Characters

September 13, 2019June 11, 20221 Comment

Happy Friday guys!  This week actually went by kind of quick for me, and it was a pretty good week. This week's topic is Favorite Side Characters, which I happened to notice was last week's prompt for some of the blogs I follow.  Seems like we all think alike... I'm just a little later to … Continue reading Five on Friday: Favorite Side Characters

Friday again!  Hope everyone had an enjoyable week after the holiday! This week's topic is Books That Made Me Cry, and when I say this, I mean that "ugly cry."  Or in other words, the crying that leaves us a mess.  I typically try to avoid these kinds of books because I hate crying that … Continue reading Five on Friday: Books That Left Me a Crying Mess

Five on Friday: Childhood Favorites

August 30, 2019June 11, 20222 Comments

Happy Friday everyone!  It's time for another Five on Friday!  This week's topic is childhood favorites which works because I've been feeling a bit nostalgic lately.  I think it's because of all these reboots happening of my favorite shows.  It's just making me miss that time period - the late 90s and early 2000s - … Continue reading Five on Friday: Childhood Favorites

Five on Friday: Books I Could Reread Forever

August 23, 2019June 11, 20224 Comments

Since I began following other bloggers I've noticed that there are fun little "topic days" that they tend to participate in like Top Ten Tuesday or something similar, which I think is pretty cool because it gives bloggers something sure that they can post every week.  Let's face it, besides reviews, it can be hard … Continue reading Five on Friday: Books I Could Reread Forever

If every cast member of Harry Potter had a memoir, I’d read them all. There’s some other celebs I’d love to read memoirs of, including Jennifer Aniston, Selena Gomez, Danielle Fishel, Melissa Joan Hart, and more!
Happy first day of Spring y’all! With April just a few weeks away it seems appropriate to show off a spring-colored book with rain featured 😂
