10 Books I’d Give as a Gift

November 29, 2020June 15, 20221 Comment

I did a post like this last year with a small list of books. This year I thought it would be nice to sort of redo my post, but include more books. Books are always a great gift, as long as the person actually does like to read, and it's nice to know a person … Continue reading 10 Books I’d Give as a Gift

Reasons to Love the Library

January 20, 2020June 15, 20225 Comments

Growing up I've always loved going to the library.  I've had my card since I was a kid, and though there were periods when I didn't go to the town library, I was using the school libraries as well to get my books to read or other activities.  Then of course I volunteered as a … Continue reading Reasons to Love the Library

Perks of Working in a Library

December 19, 2019June 11, 20229 Comments

I'm sure most of you know based on my profile bios across social media that I work as a librarian at my local library.  This job was a blessing that came to me nearly four years ago and it's led me to meet some amazing people, including one of my best friends.  It's hard to … Continue reading Perks of Working in a Library

Books I’d Give as a Gift

December 14, 2019June 15, 20222 Comments

With Christmas on the way, I'm sure we're all busy shopping  for our loved ones and maybe even doing some bonus shopping for others.  I personally love being able to gift books to others, especially when I know they'll most likely enjoy the book or have had their eye on it for some time.  I … Continue reading Books I’d Give as a Gift

Librarian Pet Peeves

August 3, 2019June 11, 20224 Comments

I have mentioned that I work in a library, right now as a Library Assistant - or as I like to say, a "Librarian in training."  Either way, I do a lot of the same things as my supervisors... other than supervising.  For now anyway. But in the time I've been working in the library, … Continue reading Librarian Pet Peeves

10 Light-Reading Book Recommendations

July 27, 2019June 11, 20222 Comments

There's only about a month left of summer vacation for most students, and even in the work world, people are always taking vacations this time of year to get away for a week or so.  Most of that ends after the first week of September and the seasons begin to change.  This also means there's … Continue reading 10 Light-Reading Book Recommendations

Review: I Work at a Public Library

June 6, 2019June 11, 2022Leave a comment

From a patron's missing wetsuit to the scent of crab cakes wafting through the stacks, I Work at a Public Library showcases the oddities that have come across Gina Sheridan's circulation desk.Throughout these pages, she catalogs her encounters with local eccentrics as well as the questions that plague her, such as, "What is the standard length of … Continue reading Review: I Work at a Public Library

One of my favorite manga series. It’s so cute (and only 3 volumes!). I definitely recommend this one to anyone new to manga so they don’t get overwhelmed😅
A series I highly recommend. It’s 12 books long, but you wouldn’t know it with how fast it goes by. Eye opening and intense is the best way to describe it.
My review for Love on the Brain is up on my blog! Even though I have a bad relationship with science, I enjoyed reading about women in STEM.
#QOTD: Do you read graphic novels?
Already started a book for the #tbrtacklechallenge! Going with the shortest book since I do have to get it back to the library soon 😅
Happy February all! January was a rough month for me personally, so here’s hoping this month is filled with better news and blessings!
