May 2022 Wrap Up

June 1, 2022May 31, 20222 Comments

Yikes, I can't believe May is gone already. I feel like it was just last week I was trying to figure out what to do for my birthday and now a month has passed. This year is simultaneously flying by and dragging, if you ask me. Of course, I'm also still here thinking it's 2020 … Continue reading May 2022 Wrap Up

April 2022 Wrap Up

May 6, 20223 Comments

April was a bad month for reading. I started off well enough, but I finally hit that dreaded reading slump. I went through a few books where I didn't get past the first chapter before putting the book down. I didn't even bother to count those as DNF books because I knew my heart wasn't … Continue reading April 2022 Wrap Up

March 2022 Wrap Up

April 2, 2022March 29, 2022Leave a comment

I'm shocked at how quickly March went by, and at how many books I read this month. It certainly didn't seem like a lot, but I read 15 books. I think it was the Harry Potter rereads that made it feel like I didn't read much, since I went through those slower than usual. As … Continue reading March 2022 Wrap Up

February 2022 Wrap Up

I don't know how it's possible, but February went by quick yet slow at the same time. Hmm... Like last year, I actually read quite a few books for the shortest month of the year. I totaled twelve books, which I think was the same as last year now that I think about it. Give … Continue reading February 2022 Wrap Up

January 2022 Wrap Up

February 3, 2022February 3, 20221 Comment

Is it me, or did January seem to last a long time? I feel like all January's feel longer than 31 days. It's weird. On one hand, it makes it easier to read more books in the month. Especially if they're shorter books. This month was about average for me, reading wise, as I read … Continue reading January 2022 Wrap Up

December 2021 Wrap Up

January 5, 2022January 4, 20222 Comments

Thanks to the Reindeer Readathon, I had no trouble picking my books for the month. For the most part, I stuck to my TBR for that, only veering off to read some more Haikyu!! and one last (short) Christmas book on New Year's Eve. However, I didn't get around to finishing my Readathon TBR like … Continue reading December 2021 Wrap Up

November 2021 Wrap Up

November 30, 20212 Comments

So... I jinxed myself earlier this month. I mentioned how I hadn't hit my usual October reading slump and that I was on a roll with reading, only to hit a slump earlier this month. A frustrating one at that. I blame Glee entirely, as I can't stop watching it (again) and I just keep … Continue reading November 2021 Wrap Up

October 2021 Wrap Up

October 31, 2021October 30, 20211 Comment

In the past few years, October is usually the month where I go into a bad reading slump. However, this year, I read sixteen books. Yeah, sixteen. It's not the most I've read in a month (that would be 25 books in January of 2019) but it's the most I've read for a month in … Continue reading October 2021 Wrap Up

September 2021 Wrap Up

September was a better month than I expected in a few ways. Granted, it flew by very quickly, but it was a good month. Obviously I had my sad moments - September 11th for the anniversary of the Twin Towers going down and the lives lost, as well as the 5th anniversary of my gramma's … Continue reading September 2021 Wrap Up

August 2021 Wrap Up

September 2, 2021June 16, 20222 Comments

I was on a roll at the beginning of the month with reading. I've since slowed down a little, but it's not a slump. Just busy with other things. Also, how is it September already?? I mean, I love fall so I'm glad it's almost here, but this year is just flying by. I'm not … Continue reading August 2021 Wrap Up

July 2021 Wrap Up

August 3, 2021June 16, 20224 Comments

July gave me my reading groove back! I was so excited to finally be in a major reading mood again and enjoy the work that these authors put out there. I feel myself slipping a little now, but I think that's just due to some stress and not knowing what to read next. But I … Continue reading July 2021 Wrap Up

June 2021 Wrap Up

July 6, 2021June 16, 20221 Comment

I found my pace more in June for reading, though it did take me while to read Pride and Prejudice. I was glad that I was able to get one last book in by the end of the month, literally having started it on the 28th and unsure if I would actually finish it on … Continue reading June 2021 Wrap Up

May 2021 Wrap Up

May was a much better month for reading. I found my groove again and I cannot be happier. I still didn't read as many books as I usually do in a month, but life has been happening... so I'm not too upset about it. In general, May was just a fantastic month, or at least … Continue reading May 2021 Wrap Up

April 2021 Wrap Up

April was very similar to March in that I didn't get much reading done, especially in the second half of the month. In fact, I think I went two straight weeks without reading a book. I was still reading though... only it was fanfiction. I somehow went from reading Descendants fanfiction to Glee. The Gleek … Continue reading April 2021 Wrap Up

Ughh.... March failed me, you guys. I have been in such a reading slump for most of the month, unless you count fanfiction. I mean, it counts but doesn't count. I can't put it toward my reading goals for the year, but at least I'm reading, right? I've just been on a Descendants kick, again, … Continue reading March 2021 Wrap Up

Five fantastic stars AGAIN for this novel. I loved it years ago when it came out and feel the same after rereading.
QOTD: do you find yourself to be more of a morning, afternoon, or night reader?
Welp, this is a DNF. There’s just no depth to the story at all. I normally don’t read Patterson on principle, but I figured, “hey the person who ACTUALLY wrote it deserves a chance.” Unfortunately, this just didn’t hold my attention.
Seriously wishing I could just get paid to read books 😪
It’s the weekend. Read books. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
Name a book that you knew was going to make you sad, but you read it anyway 🥲
